Noel J. George Noel George was the head varsity baseball coach at Lowndes High School from 1966 to 1989. His record was 378-166. Noel George Field was dedicated to him on February 19, 1994.

Driving Directions: If traveling south on I-75, take exit 18. Turn left onto St. Augustine Road [State Roads 94/133]. Continue on St. Augustine Road for .7 [seven-tenths] mile. You will pass the front entrance to the Valdosta Mall on the left. Turn right at the next traffic light onto Norman Drive at the Hardee's restaurant and continue for .3 [three-tenths] mile. Continue past the main entrance of Lowndes High and make a right at the 2nd traffic light immediately before the A&M Self Storage buildings into the entrance of Lowndes High School. As soon as you enter this drive, you will see the baseball field, track, and Football stadium.
